Senior Finance Officer


Worcester based with an anticipated balance of home and office working


£24,219 per annum (rising to £25,494 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) 


35 hours per week

The role sits within Supported Living Management Accounts team which is responsible for the accounting of Supported Living and Retirement Living Schemes within the Group. This includes the provision of financial and management accounting services, financial analysis and preparation of annual budgets.


The Senior Finance Officer will be ambitious and enjoy a varied role within a busy and supportive team. In this exciting role you will predominantly be responsible for supporting the reconciliation of accounts to ensure income and expenditure is appropriately accounted for, whilst also ensuring data is accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will come from a finance background and will possess excellent data analysis skills. 


The role of Senior Finance Officer will include:
•    Providing accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining effective financial systems, to support decision making and business planning 
•    Developing, building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
•    Providing an effective administration service ensuring workloads are manageable in line with business requirements
•    Identifying areas for improvement and shortfalls in service delivery and recommending actions to remedy this, as appropriate 
•    Supporting and assisting the management accounting function within the team 


Skills and experiences:
•    Previous experience in a similar role within a busy, fast paced environment 
•    The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work loads
•    Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills allowing you to negotiate effectively 
•    Outstandingly organised with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
•    Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications with knowledge of income systems is advantageous
