Senior Finance Officer – Accounts Payable

Worcester

£23,279 per annum (rising to £24,504 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)  

35 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Officer to play a pivotal role within the Accounts Payable  team, which forms part of Group Financial Services. The team is a vital part of the organisation, ensuring that all invoices are processed, incoming finance queries are resolved in a timely manner and that Customer Service standards are consistently high.

The role Senior Finance Officer will include:

  • Supporting a team with accurate and timely processing of invoices, leading from the front, driving efficiencies and process improvements
  • Supporting reporting on daily figures, workflow management and weekly KPI reporting
  • Showing initiative to process urgent requests and taking ownership of outstanding queries
  • Playing a key role in supporting the Group to achieve its objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Providing clear communication between teams and championing best practice

Skills and experiences:

  • AAT part/fully qualified, or equivalent level of qualification
  • Experience of working within a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of invoice processing and experience in supporting team members
  • Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills allowing you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
