Senior Finance Analyst


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£40,056 - £48,489 per year


35 hours per week


We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Development Investment team based in Worcester. The Development Investment team are responsible for assessing new development opportunities, monitoring existing projects, reporting on project status, drafting board/committee papers and providing information to enable the claiming of Homes England grant funding.


The ideal candidate will have prior experience in property development finance, with experience of investment appraisal financial modelling. You will need to be an excellent communicator and confident in presenting financial information and influencing decisions.


The role of Senior Finance Analyst will include:

  • Assessing the financial and commercial risks of new investment proposals, applying sensitivity and scenario analysis, and identifying mitigating actions for risk
  • Monitoring and reporting on status and progress of existing development projects
  • Supporting the wider Development function in reviewing investment appraisals for proposed acquisitions and drafting investment papers
  • Providing information to enable claiming of Homes England grant funding


Skills and experiences:

  • Qualified Accountant with an understanding of the UK residential property market
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Confident dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Previous experience in property development finance and/or experience of investment appraisal financial modelling
  • Robust experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Proven experience of successful delivery of projects

  • If fully qualified £40,056 with an additional policy allowance of £6,008 per annum (rising to £42,165 with an additional policy allowance of £6,324 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
