Housing Assistant


Noble House, Worcester


£9.77 per hour (rising to £10.07 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm



We are seeking an enthusiastic Housing Assistant to support in the delivery of our high quality housing management service at Noble House. Located in Sanctuary Grove, a purpose-built community on the outskirts of Worcester, Noble House provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s. We aim to offer a lively atmosphere and mixed community of people who have a range of care needs.

The role of Housing Assistant will include:

  • Housing assessments and managing housing related enquiries
  • Carrying out inspections to ensure that the apartments are maintained, and reporting any works needed
  • Maintaining occupancy levels through the management of voids
  • Assisting in tenancy management to ensure tenancy agreements are fully understood by residents, and providing weekly arrears reports
  • Ensuring supplies, furniture and equipment are maintained to ensure service levels are consistently met
  • Building and maintaining relationships with residents and key stakeholders
  • Identifying and managing any short falls in service delivery

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous housing experience is essential along with a track record of delivering high quality tenancy services
  • NVQ Level 2 in the relevant area is desirable
  • Preferably with previous experience analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice would be advantageous
  • Ability to work to deadline and prioritise workloads
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
