Rents Accountant


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£29,227 - £30,765 per year


35 hours per week


We are looking for a Rents Accountant to join our Rents team based in Worcester. Joining a team of 3 you will ensure Sanctuary manages its social rents in line with Government regulation and legislation. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in a similar role looking to join a fast paced team that is consistently working towards improving their service delivery.


The role of Rents Accountant will include:

  • Prepare business information for key customers and stakeholders to enable effective monitoring and to support decision making
  • Ensure the maintenance, accuracy and completeness of financial records and adherence to financial controls in order to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are met
  • Support the development and maintenance of effective relationships with all key stakeholders, ensuring issues and shortfalls are addressed and remedied
  • Maintain monitoring systems as required to ensure a robust control environment is upheld and to safeguard the organisation's interests
  • Improve collaboration and engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring early detection and resolution of issues are implemented
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis and scenario planning


Skills and experiences:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • SAP experience would be desirable
  • Recent experience of working in an analytical finance role and working with large data sets is essential
  • Ability to interpret written instruction and maintain accurate records
