Maintenance Caretaker

 

Worcester

 

£28,510 - £30,010 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for a Maintenance Caretaker to join our Facilities team which comprises of 28 members all spread across different sites. The team ensures that the delivery and management of internal and external services adhere to agreed standards, current legislation and health and safety regulations. As a Maintenance Caretaker you will be responsible for completing maintenance tasks at four offices on one complex in Worcester and, one archive store also in Worcester.  Support at other offices will also be required on occasions.

 

The role of Maintenance Caretaker will include:

  • Carrying out basic maintenance repairs such as changing light bulbs and office furniture repairs
  • Completing compliance checks such as Fire checks, Legionella checks and general building checks
  • Identifying problems on site and setting into motion the means of resolution
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition
  • Coordinating contractor access to the site and monitoring their work to ensure it is completed to the standard agreed
  • Working out of hours as the emergency contact occasionally

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of undertaking general caretaking and maintenance duties, including identifying and/or carrying out repairs
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Good communication skills with excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to use and update computerised systems including Microsoft Office applications.
