Lead Technology Project Manager


Worcester based with an anticipated balance of home and office working


£47,695 per annum (rising to £50,205 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


35 hours per week


We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Technology Project Manager to our Portfolio and Programme Management Office (PPMO). The team manages all technological transformation for the entire group and consist of 16 employees ranging from Programme Managers to PMO Analysts.


As Lead Technology Project Manager you will manage, monitor and ensure cost effective and efficient delivery of projects to support Technology improvements, and efficiencies for the benefit of all customers. You will work with colleagues to solve problems and put in place an effective solution to ensure minimal disruptions occurs. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of managing projects and working in a Housing Association or similar regulated environment.


The role of Lead Technology Project Manager will include:

  • Developing, managing and implementing project plans to effectively deliver Technology improvement projects
  • Working to resolve identified business issues and provide new business solutions to support users
  • Overseeing and managing high profile projects through the effective control and utilisation of resources (including budgets), to ensure the achievement of the objectives
  • Managing a small team including a Junior Project Manager
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to manage the implementation of service and product improvements that meet the current and future needs of Technology customers


Skills and experiences:

  • Qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner
  • Comprehensive experience of managing medium to large scale technology projects
  • Proven experience of using project planning tools to effectively manage projects
  • Experience of producing progress reports and management information, including making recommendations for changes needed to ensure delivery and developing solutions in line with business strategies
  • Excellent organisational, project management and planning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
