Finance Officer


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£21,514 - £22,647 per year


35 hours per week


We have an opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our Capital Accounting team, based in Worcester. The Capital Accounting team consists of 12 people who are responsible for the company’s fixed assets register and the production of relevant notes for the statutory accounts.


The role of Finance Officer will include:

  • Becoming an expert on the company’s capitalisation policy enabling you to advise the wider organisation
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register including additions, disposals and transfers
  • Monitoring the team mailbox and allocating emails to appropriate team members
  • Period end reporting to strict deadlines
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining relationships with other areas of the business including Development Finance, Property Services and CSC
  • Assist in the production of statutory financial information for year end audit


Skills and experiences:

  • Proficient user of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel
  • Previous customer service experience
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Communication skill and relevant experience to be an effective team player
  • Strong work ethic and self motivated
  • AAT Qualified and previous experience with SAP are desirable, but not essential
