Finance Officer

 

Worcester

 

£20,478 per annum (rising to £21,556 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

35 hours per week

The Capital Accounting team sits within Group Finance and is made up of 13 people. The team is responsible for the group’s fixed assets register managing the additions and disposals processes in order to produce notes to the statutory accounts.

 

The role of Finance Officer will include:

  • Managing relationships with other teams i.e. Purchase Order Officers and the Customer Service Centre
  • Answering inbox queries in a timely manner and escalating any issues
  • Using the Projects and Maintenance system in order to assist other teams in being able to process works costs
  • Assisting other team members in conducting month end activities and participate in ongoing team projects
  • Prioritising work loads to ensure deadlines are met to a high standard

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Prior experience within a similar finance role
  • Transaction review and journal/ transaction processing experience
  • Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Outstanding customer relationship and communication skills
  • Self motivated with the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook or similar
