Director's Secretary


Worcester based with a balance of home and office working


£24,219 - £25,494 per year


35 hours per week – Part Time hours will be considered


We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and self-motivated Secretary with a keen eye for detail to join our team in Worcester.  The role will support the Director of Information Technology and their team with day-to-day tasks, diary management and prioritising workloads. The mission for our Technology Department is to drive and inspire modernisation whilst enabling our entire community to thrive. Technology is one of the key enablers of Sanctuary’s strategy.


Whilst primarily working independently with frequent contact with the Director, you will also be in regular contact with a wide variety of staff within the Technology department. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience of providing secretarial support in a fast-paced environment where priorities continually evolve and have knowledge of Microsoft tools e.g. Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.


The role of Director's Secretary will include:

  • Managing the Director’s diary and providing diary and admin support to the Director’s 5 direct reports
  • Ensuring deadlines are met across the Team
  • Preparing and collating information and reports on behalf of the Director in a timely manner
  • Communicating effectively and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responding to ad hoc requests as necessary


Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a similar role providing secretarial support, or an NVQ in business administration
  • Experience working with commercially sensitive and confidential data
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Excellent organisation skills
