Deputy Director of Care Operations


Location – reasonable commuting distance to Worcester


Attractive salary plus company car or car allowance


35 hours per week


Sanctuary Care is a leading provider of residential and nursing homes across the UK. We employ 6,500 staff in over 100 care homes and have ambitious plans to continue to grow and diversify.

The Role


Reporting to the Operations Director for Care in this newly created role, you will provide leadership and operational management to Sanctuary Care including; focus homes, new builds, acquisitions and delivery of organisational change projects.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior care professional who is seeking a new role with real growth potential and to make a positive and sustainable impact on the future direction of our business.


As part of this role you will provide hands on support to our focus homes and monitor service improvement plans to our ensure services remain viable and safe, whilst minimising risk to Sanctuary Care and its reputation.

In addition, you will take the operational lead on acquisitions and new builds, ensuring effective collaboration with all support and operational teams, and the successful implementation of Sanctuary's standard operating model, policies and procedures, and compliance to regulatory standards.


You will also lead on a variety of research projects to identify service improvement opportunities for our business, reflecting best practice initiatives and general trends within the sector, enabling Sanctuary Care to remain a progressive and reputable provider.


The role will provide clear and confident direction and line-management to Sanctuary Care operational teams in the absence of the Director of Operations, ensuring the continued delivery of quality services and achievement of business objectives.

The Person

Educated to Degree level, you will be highly motivated with a genuine passion to succeed and drive the company forward, whilst inspiring your team and colleagues.


You will have substantial leadership and change management experience, gained within the adult social care setting as well as proven success of working for a large care provider that operates residential and nursing services for older people.
