Sanctuary House, Worcester

£7.95 per hour (rising to £8.36 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance) – Subject to April 2019 pay review

10 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 11.00am – 1.00pm

The Cleaner will be responsible for high standard cleaning services at our Sanctuary offices based in Worcester. Your main duties include the cleaning of toilets and some communal areas. This is a lone worker role, although flexibility is also a requirement as you may need to provide cover for the evening team.

The role of Cleaner will include:

  • General cleaning duties for toilets, ensuring all areas are replenished with WC provisions
  • Identifying and reporting potential hazards or faults on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of allocated work
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a good, workable condition and stock levels are maintained
  • Providing a professional, courteous and customer friendly approach to all working tasks

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • A strong understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) is essential
  • A general awareness of Health and Safety is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude to working tasks with the ability to prioritise workload
