Care and Support Assistant
Hazel Court, Worcester, also covering Albert Park Road, Malvern
£8.94 to £9.22 per hour (dependent on qualifications)
37.5 hours per week – including evenings, weekends and sleep ins
We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to join us in making a real difference to the lives of our residents, by helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will be integral to ensuring our residents lead a happy and fulfilled lifestyle. Hazel Court offers 14 purpose-built apartments providing housing and support for adults with learning disabilities. The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:
- Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
- Delivering expert support to residents including the sensitive delivery of personal care
- Building positive relationships
- Promoting resident integration and inclusion into the community
- Encouraging residents to lead fulfilling lives
- Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
- Cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Responding to the nurse call buzzer
Skills and experiences:
- Experience working with clients with physical or learning disabilities is preferable
- NVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
- A friendly and caring nature
- Patient and understanding
- Willingness to work as part of a team
