£8.94 to £9.22 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

37.5 hours per week – including evenings, weekends and sleep ins

We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to join us in making a real difference to the lives of our residents, by helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will be integral to ensuring our residents lead a happy and fulfilled lifestyle.  Hazel Court offers 14 purpose-built apartments providing housing and support for adults with learning disabilities. The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

• Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
• Delivering expert support to residents including the sensitive delivery of personal care
• Building positive relationships
• Promoting resident integration and inclusion into the community
• Encouraging  residents to lead fulfilling lives
• Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
• Cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Responding to the nurse call buzzer

Skills and experiences:

• Experience working with clients with physical or learning disabilities is preferable
• NVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
• A friendly and caring nature
• Patient and understanding
• Willingness to work as part of a team
