Assistant Finance Officer


£17,637 per annum pro rata – Subject to April pay review

21 hours per week

6 month temporary position

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a small team within the wider Accounts Receivable function as an Assistant Finance Officer. You will have strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt positively to changing priorities within the team.

The role of Assistant Finance Officer will include:

  • Posting housing benefit payments and notifications from local authorities accurately
  • Entering data into relevant systems and spreadsheets
  • Handling correspondence from local authorities across the country
  • Maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring you adhere to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Any ad hoc administration required that supports the team

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within Financial Services is desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to process large volumes of data whilst adhering to deadlines is essential
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of SAP is desirable
