Assistant Finance Officer

Worcester

£17,637 per annum  

35 hours per week

12 month temporary opportunity

Joining Accounts Payable within the invoice management team the Assistant Finance Officer will be highly motivated and have excellent attention to detail. The Invoice Management team sits within the wider Accounts Payable department and has over 30 team members.  You will validate and process incoming invoices as per payment terms and take ownership of your workload.

The role of Assistant Finance Officer will include:

  • Validating and processing invoices in adherence to payment terms
  • Processing and addressing urgent queries, ensuring these are resolved in a time efficient manner
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate and timely records
  • Working as part of a team to achieve daily processing targets
  • Any ad hoc administration required that supports the team

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within Accounts Payable is desirable
  • GSCE’s in Math’s and English at Grade C and above is essential
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to process large volumes of data whilst adhering to deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and OneNote
  • Flexibility and adaptability are also required to be successful in this position
