Electrician

 

Swindon – Covering Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire

 

£30,188 - £31,777 per year

 

40 hours per week plus out of hours rota, approximately 1 week out of 9

 

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our operations Response team in Swindon to cover properties across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire. The role will be responsible for testing and inspecting occupied and void properties for any faults and repairs. Primarily lone working, you will join a team of a team of 12 with jobs allocated for responsive repairs and maintenance duties, working with the wider team when required.

 

The role of Electrician will include:

  • Carrying out general repairs to occupied and void properties
  • Ensuring compliance with latest regulations
  • Maintaining electrical installations in tenanted and void properties
  • Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken 
  • Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition
  • Attending emergency, urgent and routine works on a rotational OOH rota to attend emergencies outside normal working hours when required

 

Skills and experiences:

  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience as an Electrician
  • Fully qualified with a current certificate in BS2391 Test and Inspect and trained to 18th Edition
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Current Certificate of competency in PAT Testing
  • Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
