Scheme Manager

 

Waltham House and Silvester Court – West Bromwich

 

£21,209 - £22,326 per year

 

37.5 hours per week

 

We have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our West Bromwich Housing Services team where you will be working between Waltham House and Silvester Court in West Bromwich. In this role you will be responsible for providing a high quality housing management service which will include providing tenancy advice, following up repairs for residents and promoting independent living. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with older or vulnerable people in a housing management setting and is aware of safeguarding concerns.

 

The role of Scheme Manager will include:

  • Effectively managing any low level anti-social behaviour which may include attending evictions, gathering relevant information to support this and managing the complaint process for the service area
  • Provide administrative support for the delivery of high quality and value for money
  • Dealing with part of the lettings process, including viewings, pre void inspections and key management
  • Undertaking compliance checks and scheme inspections, ensuring we comply with health and safety regulations
  • Working with external agencies such as Social Workers concerning additional support requirements/safeguarding referrals
  • Identifying potential repairs or faults in the scheme, ensuring they are reported and monitored

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working with older people or vulnerable client groups is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, allowing you to build strong relationships
  • The ability to work on own initiative in a high paced environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Housing Management experience and basic knowledge of welfare benefits and rent accounts is desirable
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
