Apprentice – Horticulture


  • Fixed term contract for 24 months


  • Based at 164 Birmingham Road, West Bromwich, B70 6QG


  • Starting salary year 1: £9,734 per annum


  • 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

The duties and role of Apprentice will include:

  • Working on a wide range of horticultural and landscaping projects that will develop and improve our sites
  • Establishing plants and identifying pests and establishing the difference between the ones we want and don’t want
  • Maintaining communal open spaces
  • Developing your customer service and interpersonal skills in order to build a career within this industry


Skills and experiences:

  • A keen interest in Horticulture and Landscaping is essential for this role
  • A minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade C or above (grades 4 – 9) or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Excellent practical skills and ability to develop them
  • Enjoy getting stuck in to physically demanding work
  • Have plenty of initiative and be ready to step forward with your own ideas
