Local Service Manager – Tier 2 - Registered Manager

 

Shaftesbury Court, Trowbridge

 

£35,997 per annum (rising to £37,891 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

37.5 hours per week – General office hours, 09.00am – 17.00pm with the occasional need to work outside of these

 

 

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join us in the registered management team for the role of Local Service Manager, to provide a quality service and join our friendly and dedicated team.

 

Located in a quiet area of Trowbridge close to Southwick Country Park, our newly refurbished residential care home consists of 14 bedrooms in the main building and 3 further bedrooms in two bungalows, adjacent to the main home. Shaftesbury Court provides residential care and support for adults aged 18 to 65, who have a range of learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

 

You will be responsible for effectively leading staff to ensure that all service users receive focused support. The role will ensure effective care and support systems are in place, and co-ordination of staff teams. There is also some housing management responsibilities.

The role of Local Service Manager will include:

  • Leading the overall delivery of the service, through the management of the team and liaison with the Area Service Manager
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with service users and relevant external agencies, liaising effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
  • Overseeing the overall delivery of the housing management of the property
  • Delivering contract KPI’s
  • Overseeing the service’s financial performance and managing the budget to maximise income
  • Responsibility for health and safety in the service

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous proven experience in managing registered care, supported living or retirement living services, you will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant current CQC legislation and best practice principles
  • You will have experience of delivering care and support, which includes complex care packages
  • Proven ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
  • Knowledge and experience of using SAP and other internal systems is desirable
  • Previous experience of working with and leading a large team
