Retirement Living Housing Manager – Tier 1

 

Dunboyne Court, Torquay

 

£22,681 per annum, (rising to £23,874 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

37.5 hours per week

 

 

We are seeking a Retirement Living Housing Manager to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Dunboyne Court consists of forty five properties that welcome adults with a variety of care needs, enabling them to maintain an independent lifestyle within homely environments and as part of a friendly community.  In this busy and varied role, no two days are ever the same. The role of Retirement Living Housing Manager will include:

  • Providing business support to the scheme by working with relevant parties to facilitate contracts with the best use of the scheme’s services
  • Achieving the best possible occupancy levels and administering the allocation of properties and lettings processes
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with residents, families and external agencies
  • Occasionally having difficult conversations with residents to address behaviours
  • Managing a team of staff and providing them with the support to do their jobs effectively, which could involve assisting in the kitchen or performing reception duties
  • Working in partnership with the onsite care provider

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience in lettings, housing, and front of house management
  • Experience working with clients with mental health needs and physical disabilities is desirable
  • A friendly personality with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
  • Good administrative skills with a keen eye for detail
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and SAP is desirable
