Rose Manor, Telford

 

£10.10 

 

27.5 hours per week, including every other weekend

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Set in the vibrant new community of Ketley Millennium Village near Telford, Rose Manor offers independent living apartments exclusive to those aged 55 and over.

 

Designed to offer comfort, independence and peace of mind, Rose Manor has a dedicated care and support team onsite, enabling residents to enjoy their own home and their own way of life. As a Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant you will utilise your communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with our residents providing the highest level of customer service, creating varied individual and group activities that will engage residents and integrate them into the wider community.

The role of Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant will include:

  • Providing front of house reception duties
  • Developing innovative and varied individual and group activities  
  • Promoting activities for residents such as quizzes, bingo and exercise classes and inspiring them to get involved
  • Assisting and encouraging residents to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Working with other staff to ensure a clean and comfortable environment is maintained
     

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of developing and leading resident involvement activities
  • Previous experience working with a similar client group is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Experience with working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
