Multi-Trade Operative - Window and Door Fitter

 

Covering West Midlands – Birmingham, Banbury, Telford areas

 

£31,159 - £32,799 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for a skilled Multi-Trade Operative specialising in window and door fitting to join our Operations Planned team of 27 operatives, with a mix of skills and qualifications working on repairs for both void and tenanted properties. Within the role you will be covering all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, but mostly fitting UPVC windows, doors and facia and Soffits. The role will involve lone working or in pairs with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover the West Midlands area.

 

The role of Multi-Trade Operative – Window and Door Fitter will include:

  • Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

 

Skills and experiences:

  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience in relevant trade is essential
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • Skills in some of the following disciplines – UPVC door, window, fascia and Soffit fitting installations is essential, Carpentry, Joinery, Plumbing, Kitchen and Bathroom would be an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work loads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
