Social Inclusion Coordinator – Part Time

 

Eastgate Residential Home, Stoke

 

£8.68 per hour (rising to £9.14 after 12 months service, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

25 hours per week

 

 

We are seeking a Social Inclusion Coordinator to make a real difference to the lives of our residents.  Located in a quiet area of Longton, Eastgate is a residential care home for up to 11 adults aged between 18 and 65, with a range of learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Through day-to-day personalised support, we help our residents to achieve good physical and emotional health, improve their well-being and quality of life. The role of Social Inclusion Coordinator will include:

  • Delivering and facilitating innovative and varied individual and group activities internally and externally
  • Assisting with producing individual written activity profiles and reporting any issues relating to our clients
  • Promoting safe working practices, including risk assessments, reporting faults and hazards so to ensure a safe environment is maintained
  • Attending and participating in fund raising and social events to promote Sanctuary Supported Living services to the wider community

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of working in a similar role and with relevant client groups
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Care or similar is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer care skills with an approachable attitude
  • An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
