We are seeking a Night Care and Support Assistant to join our friendly team. Located in a quiet area of Longton, Eastgate is a residential care home for up to 11 adults aged between 18 and 65, with a range of learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Through day-to-day personalised support, we help our residents to achieve good physical and emotional health, improve their well-being and quality of life.

The role of Night Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing peace of mind for all residents by carrying out security checks throughout the night, checking on all buildings and residents
  • Responding to calls should a resident need support in an emergency
  • Conducting bed calls and morning calls to a high standard
  • Working to ensure a clean and comfortable environment
  • Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A personalised approach to care, and ideally some experience with learning disabilities and complex or high needs
  • Enthusiastic and flexible, with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills, as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Good communication skills allowing you to build strong relationships with our residents
