Caretaker

 

Fenton, Stoke on Trent – covering sites across Staffordshire and Cheshire

 

£19,990 per annum (rising to £21,042 per annum after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

 

40 Hours per week

 

We are currently looking to recruit a Caretaker to join our Estate Services team in Stoke on Trent. You will be responsible for void clearances, gutter cleaning, bulky waste removal, grounds maintenance and soft and hard landscaping throughout our care homes, supported living schemes and general rented properties. The role will require you to work as part of a 2 person team on a regular basis.

 

The role of Caretaker will include:

  • Undertaking general estate maintenance and property repairs; these duties include caretaking, cleaning, basic repairs and grounds maintenance
  • Grounds maintenance tasks to include; lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
  • Working with customers to identify faults, resolve issues and improve services
  • Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience within a cleaning or caretaking role is essential
  • Training to a  National accredited standard in Cleaning (BICs) is desirable
  • Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation is essential
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with fast changing requirements
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
