Night Concierge – Part Time

 

Prideaux Court, Plymouth

 

£9.80

 

22.5 hours per week - 3 nights per week, 7pm to 3am on a rota basis

 

 

We are seeking an experienced Night Concierge to join our team at Plymouth Domestic Abuse Service. Working with male and female survivors of domestic abuse, you will support clients living in our accommodation services to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community. Ideally, you will have experience of working with people who have suffered domestic abuse and have a passion and drive to provide expert support.

 

As we take a personalised approach to delivering support, we are looking for candidates who pride themselves on having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds. You will use these skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our clients.

 

We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has our own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

The role of Night Concierge will include:

  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and client queries
  • Developing good relationships with clients, helping them develop life skills
  • Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
  • Ensuring an excellent service is provided to our clients
  • Some health and safety responsibilities e.g. fire safety checks
  • Ensuring the security of the service is maintained
  • Preparing communal areas for residents, including kitchens and bathrooms and ensuring that the security of service users is maintained
  • Completing concierge checklists, feeding back information and completing incident reports if required
  • This role will include long periods of lone working

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working with victims of Domestic Abuse in a supported living scheme is desirable
  • Previous experience of working within a similar role is required
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or people with mental health needs would be advantageous
  • Basic health and safety knowledge, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Basic health care and hygiene standards knowledge
  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to communicate and engage with our residents, visitors and colleagues
