Gas Engineer

 

Woodview House, Paignton – covering Paignton, Torquay, Brixham, Teignmouth and Newton Abbott with occasional travel to EX/PL postcodes

 

£34,895 - £36,731 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for a qualified domestic Gas Engineer who can work as part of our team and on their own, while completing a defined workload of service, repair and installation jobs per day.  You will join our Gas Maintenance team, to assist with delivering high quality gas servicing and maintenance of heating systems for our customers. With a company van and tools included, the role will cover Paignton, Torquay, Brixham, Teignmouth and Newton Abbott with occasional travel to EX/PL postcodes. This role will also include On Call duties every 4 to 5 weeks.

The role of Gas Engineer will include:

  • Carrying out fault fixing, servicing and installation of gas central heating systems
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
  • Resolving problems or set in to motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Current Gas Safe Registration ACS (previously ACOPS) along with a natural gas domestic qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar domestic gas servicing and maintenance role is essential
  • The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems
  • Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
