Old Milton Road, New Milton

£8.26 to £8.69 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

We are seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. At New Milton we support 15 adults who have learning disabilities by enabling them to live independently. The scheme contains 2 shared houses and 5 individual flats. Working as part of a team, you will as a bank member of staff, cover shifts when this is needed. The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality person-centred care and support service
  • Delivering expert support to clients including the sensitive delivery of personal care
  • Promoting resident integration and inclusion into the community
  • Empowering residents to lead fulfilling lives
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments

Skills and experiences:

  • Person-centred approach ideally with experience of working in a similar care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets
  • NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Flexibility is needed due the role not being contracted hours, therefore shifts are not guaranteed each week
