Accommodation Manager

 

Denmark Road, Manchester

 

£29,255 per annum (rising to £30,794 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

35 hours per week

We offer a range of accommodation from shared flats to self-contained apartments in some of the biggest university towns and cities in the UK, including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow.

 

We are looking to recruit an Accommodation Manager to join our team at Denmark Road, where you will be responsible for handling the day-to-day management of the site and staff. You will work in a challenging and rewarding environment which will offer the excellent opportunities to develop within the team and company.

 

The role of Accommodation Manager will included –

  • Managing occupancy through working with partners and local educational institutions
  • Preparing and managing local budgets, monitoring accounts and facilitating debt recovery
  • Monitoring contract service performance, taking action to deal with poor performance and promoting best practice
  • Managing the recruitment, performance and development of staff
  • Developing and implementing effective operational plans to ensure that service delivery meets contracted quality standards

 

Skills and experiences –

  • HND in Hotel, Hospitality or Property management (or related subject) is essential
  • Proven experience of working in the student accommodation, hotel, hospitality or property sector is essential
  • Proven experience of staff management within a customer facing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
