Project Worker 

 

Church Road, Brent NW10

 

£10.75 per hour (rising to £11.08 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

37.5 hours per week -  Monday to Sunday on a rota,  including weekend and evenings  between 8.00am -10.00pm

 

 

We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join us in the role of Project Worker at Church Road. Our small supported living service offers shared facilities, supporting clients who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regularly assessing the needs of residents by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment  
  • Supporting residents in their day to day living i.e with cooking and cleaning
  • Offering advice in relation to fulfilling tenancy conditions
  • Assisting residents with managing finances and welfare benefits
  • Supporting resdients to access drug and alcohol services
  • Encouraging social inclusion and helping residents to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management, and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Experience of motivating and encouraging individuals to reach their goals
  • A positive approach to challenging behaviour
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • Experience of working with drug and alcohol services
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
