Project Worker

 

Ealing Care Services, London, W3

 

£10.12 (rising to £10.65 per hour after 12 months service, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

39 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am-4.30pm or 2.30pm- 9pm, in addition to either a Saturday or Sunday shift, 9am-9pm on a rota basis

 

 

We have a great opportunity for a Project Worker with the passion and drive to provide support, enabling our residents with a range of complex needs to achieve their potential and live more independently within their community. Located in a residential area of Acton, Ealing Care Services has three, one-bedroom flats and four studio flats. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 to 65, with medium to high level mental health needs.

 

You will use your skills to work with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided for our residents
  • Helping our residents to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Assessing their needs, writing and updating support plans
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the residents, actively encouraging choice and involvement, acting as an advocate when required
  • Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management is essential
  • An NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
  • The ability to work on your own initiative in a challenging environment
  • Proven experience of working with, and understanding the needs of a relevant client group
  • Good interpersonal and customer customer care skills skills
  • A basic understanding of email and internet communications
