Caretaker

 

Kingsmead Office, London

 

£22,869 - £24,072 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for a Caretaker to be based at Kingsmead Office, London. As Caretaker you will be responsible for carrying out an excellent caretaking service which will involve communal cleaning, sweeping, mopping and cleaning doors and windows. The role will be lone working, however you will join a wider team of 7 Caretakers, and will provide cover to other schemes when required. The ideal candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality services, demonstrate a commitment to team work and high levels of customer service.

 

The role of Caretaker will include:

  • Undertaking general caretaking duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, fitting carpets and basic onsite repairs
  • Grounds maintenance tasks to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
  • Working with customers to identify faults, resolve issues and improve services
  • Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
  • British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS) would be advantageous
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
