We are currently recruiting for a Bank Care and Support Assistant to provide care and support to our residents at Ashley Cooper House. Located in the bustling area of Brixton, Ashley Cooper House is a purpose-built residential care home with 16 bedrooms. We provide residential care and support for 16 adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date care plans
  • Providing a high quality, personalised care and support service
  • Supporting residents with washing, dressing, bathing and hygiene
  • Assisting residents with domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry 
  • Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments
  • Working with residents and other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable environment

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience gained within a similar, care related, role would be an advantage
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willing to work towards
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills, as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
