Landscape Technician Charge Hand

 

Acorn Business Park, Liverpool – covering sites across the North West

 

£20,765 - £21,858

 

40 Hours per week

 

We are looking for a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our Estate Services team. You will be responsible for the day to day management and supervising of team’s onsite, ensuring all grounds maintenance duties across a variety of properties have been completed to a high standard and look presentable for any visitors. The role covers sites based across the North West, and you be part of a larger team covering various duties. A company van with maintenance tools and equipment are provided which you will be responsible for maintaining and keeping in good working condition.

 

The role of Landscape Technician Charge Hand will include:

  • Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
  • Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
  • Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
  • Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Some experience of supervising others is desirable
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
