Trade Supervisor

 

Beacon House, Ipswich – Covering Rochford, Southend and Chelmsford

 

£36,378 per year

 

40 hours per week

 

We are looking for a Trade Supervisor to join our Operations Planned Works team covering various sites in the East, mainly Rochford and surrounding areas. Based at Beacon House Ipswich the role will be responsible for managing a team of 5 to 6 Operatives who cover Rochford and surrounding areas. As Trade Supervisor you will coordinate between the TLO, QS, Operations manager and your team on a daily basis to plan the operatives workload to be completed as per the planned program. A company van will be provided for company use and the role will have opportunities to develop your career further.

 

The role of Trade Supervisor will include:

  • Managing a team of Trade Operatives across multiple sites, ensuring that high quality work is carried out
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Completing site surveys and meeting with clients to continuously improve our services
  • Processing orders for materials and managing resources effectively
  • Working to a high standard and meeting set KPI's
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in services
  • Assisting with the recruitment, performance management and development of staff 

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A track record of running kitchen and bathroom programmes of works on site within a social housing or similar construction environment
  • Demonstrable experience of managing/supervising staff within a responsive maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar)
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
