Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Bank Maintenance Assistant to play a vital role in ensuring a safe and well presented environment at Wimborne House, by carrying out general maintenance to meet customer and organisational needs.

 

Wimborne House is a Retirement Living Scheme, offering independent living apartments for people aged 55 and over.

 

Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, open manner are essential for success in this role.

The role of Bank Maintenance Assistant will include:

  • Undertaking site repairs and maintenance duties
  • Identifying potential maintenance issues and liaising with any necessary specialists or contractors
  • Carrying out planned routine works such as decorating
  • Assisting in scheduled building checks and audits, ensuring safe and secure environments
  • Occasional gardening duties
  • Serving as point of contact for contractors who are on site

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance position is essential
  • Prior experience identifying and carrying out repairs
  • Experience operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation
