Bank Care and Support Assistant

 

Wimborne House, Gravesend

 

£9.39 to £9.68 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

 

Hours as and when required - including weekends and bank holidays as required

Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

 

We are seeking a Bank Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Located on the outskirts of Gravesend, Wimborne House provides apartments and communal facilities for over 55s, with care and support on site.  Wimborne House offers comfort, independence and peace of mind. The role of Bank Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering a high level of care and support for residents and enabling them to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Developing and reviewing care plans for residents
  • Assisting and encouraging our residents to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
  • Helping residents to arrange and attend appointments i.e. with their GP
  • Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation
  • Working with residents and other staff members to ensure a clean and comfortable environment
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
     

Skills and experiences:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willing to work towards
  • Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar care related role
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
