Hours as and when required – Monday to Sunday, 9am - 10pm
Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate individual to join our team as a Bank Support Assistant. Located in the centre of Goole, Aldam House and Cottage has 10 fully-furnished bedrooms. We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, providing short-term support of up to two years or longer-term CQC-registered care.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression.

The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:
- Providing a high quality, hands on and personalised care and support service
- Supporting residents to develop their daily living skills including cooking, cleaning, shopping and being an active part of the community
- Sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be maximised
- Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents
Skills and experiences:
- Experience of working with vulnerable people is advantageous
- NVQ2 in Health & Social Care is desirable
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload, calling upon your strong organisational skills
- Good listening skills and the ability to solve problems, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
