Plumber - Trade Operative

 

Glasgow - covering Glasgow & Cumbernauld Occasionally Dundee

 

£27,174 per annum (rising to £28,604 per annum after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance)

 

40 Hours per week

 

We are looking for a Trade Operative - Plumber to join our Planned Works Team, where you will be responsible for carrying out plumbing duties to tenanted and void properties. With skills also in kitchen and bathroom fitting, you will be required to cover multiple properties across Glasgow, Cumbernauld and Occasionally Dundee to ensure they are all to a high quality standard for current and potential tenants. We require someone who is flexible and has knowledge of working with new and old stock; however training is provided as and when required. You will be provided with power tools, and will share access to a company van.

 

The role of Trade Operative – Plumber will include:

  • Carrying out fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications; specialising in plumbing kitchens, bathrooms and medical adaptations
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

 

Skills and experiences:

  • City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 3 or relevant experience in a relevant trade
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
