Region Health and Safety Trainer




£36,205 - £38,111 per year plus Company car


35 hours per week


Do you have experience in managing health and safety in care homes and/or housing as well as delivering training to staff members? If so, we have the role for you!


We are looking for a Regional Health and Safety Trainer with a wealth of experience to join our in-house H&S team. Working within a team of 3 you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of H&S training across a varied portfolio of services, including care homes, student accommodation and property services. You will also monitor H&S training compliance levels across Sanctuary to ensure that we achieve the required compliance levels. Read on to find out more about the role.


The role of Region Health and Safety Trainer will include:

  • Design and deliver innovative and cost effective Learning and Development solutions in line with regulatory requirements and practices across the business
  • Recommending improvements to the training courses to support the needs of operations and enable staff members to perform at consistently high levels
  • Ensure any Health and Safety regulatory changes that will impact the business in the future have appropriate learning interventions for staff members
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and training partnerships with internal and external customers
  • Utilise industry recognised tools and techniques to ensure staff at all levels are engaged in the proactive Health and Safety culture of Sanctuary Group


Skills and experiences:

  • Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualifications
  • Extensive experience of undertaking a similar role within Housing and/or Care Homes
  • Proven experience of designing and delivering innovative and effective learning and development solutions
  • Working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

  • Role salary is £33,913 with an additional policy allowance of £2,292 per annum (rising to £35,698 with an additional policy allowance of £2,413 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
