General Assistant (Cleaner)

Kelvinhaugh Street, Glasgow

£7.83 per annum (rising to £8.24 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

20 hours per week

As Cleaner you will be responsible for providing a high quality cleaning and domestic service in the student accommodation. During term time our duties will be cleaning of communal areas, and cleaning of any empty properties. In vacation periods, you will deep clean vacant flats in preparation for summer business.

The role of General Assistant will include

  • Providing high quality cleaning services for bedrooms, kitchens, pathways and communal areas
  • Identifying and reporting any hazards and faults to ensure a safe environment is maintained
  • Organising  stores on site and carrying out checks of equipment, replacing when necessary
  • Any other tasks as required by management

Skills and experiences –

  • Previous cleaning or house keeping experience is desirable
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with fast changing requirements
  • Previous experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Able to work in a team and help colleagues as and when required
