Apprentice – Gas Fitting

 

Fixed term contract initially for 36 Months

 

Glasgow

 

Starting salary year 1: £12,001

 

40 Hours per week

 

Our award-winning Apprenticeship programme offers you a chance to study for a practical qualification while contributing to the success of a fast-paced, constantly evolving organisation. Gas Fitting apprentices will assist with and undertake all types of domestic gas service, repairs and installation work activities within Sanctuary Property Services.

 

 

In partnership with our training provider Building Engineering Services Association - we are offering a 36 month Apprenticeship in Gas Fitting. You will be provided with first rate training leading to a Domestic Natural Gas Installation and Maintenance – Level 3, nationally recognised qualification, while at the same time working to make life better for our tenants and customers.

 

The role of Apprentice – Gas Fitting will include:

  • Building a range of knowledge and skills over the course of 36 months
  • Gaining valuable practical experience in providing a reactive gas Maintenance & Repair service, undertake gas boiler and heating system replacements
  • Prepare and satisfactorily maintain records of completed work to support Modern Apprenticeship port folio
  • Embrace and uphold Sanctuary core values and standards at all times
  • Learning invaluable customer service skills essential to build and maintain a successful career in the gas and renewable industry

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A keen interest in practical and technically challenging workloads within a rewarding gas and renewable industry
  • Ability to manage onsite workload whilst undertaking supporting studying
  • A minimum of 2 National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) in Maths and English (other subjects considered)
  • Good practical and problem solving skills
  • Must be reliable, committed and a great team player
  • Have plenty of initiative and be ready to step forward with your own ideas
  • Be confident and have good written and verbal communication skills
