Specialist Nurse Manager

 

Montague Road Nursing Home, Felixstowe, Suffolk

 

£36,346.22  (Rising to £38,259.18 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

37.5 hours per week

Montague Road Nursing Home supports 24 people with mental health needs and/or Dementia using a holistic approach to ensure a high quality of care is delivered. We have a dedicated staff team who are looking for a manger with leadership skills to foster the approach of continuous improvement to ensure the best outcomes can be achieved for the people living there.

 

The Specialist Nurse Manager will manage the delivery of a sustainable, quality service ensuring customer, financial and organizational needs are met  in line with aims and objectives.

 

The role of Specialist Nurse Manager will include:

  • Successfully registering with CQC as Manager of Montague Road
  • Ensuring consistent delivery of services that are compliant with health and safety, housing regulations and other relevant legislation
  • Monitoring clinical practices within the care home ensuring clients support packages are appropriate and a multidisciplinary approach in taken
  • Manage the recruitment, performance and development of staff, including supporting nurses with clinical development and revalidation
  • Building and mainting effective relationships with clients and external agencies,
  • Promoting inclusion and active participation from service users as well as ensuring engagement with the local community
  • Assisting with budget setting and monitoring, recovering debts and identifying any opportunitied to generate income to ensure business viability.

 

Skills and experiences

  • Registered Manager Award or similar relevant professional qualification
  • Must hold a valid PIN number.
  • An extensive knowledge of current statutory legislation and good practice principals
  • Experience working with and proven knowledge of the key needs and services for older people living with dementia and mental health problems
  • Previous experience managing and developing a team of RGN/RMN’s
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and prioritising workloads
  • Outstanding communication skills including interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Excellent level of IT knowledge including Word and Excel
