Ardler, Dundee

£26,118 per annum (rising to £27,493 after 12 months service, subject to satisfactory performance)

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Joiner to join our Responsive Maintenance team. You will be part of a small team of operatives working on properties across Dundee.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Joiner to become part of our market leading business and undertake a range of responsive repairs relating to general housing maintenance. Repairing and renewing doors and flooring will be prominent in your day to day tasks, as will changing multipoint locks and operating tools and equipment in safe manner, replacing stock as required. You must be Health and Safety conscious and ensure that the environment, property and occupants are safe and secure at all times.

This is a varied and challenging role that comes with conflicting priorities and will not only see you carrying out joinery works but on occasions providing assistance with additional trades. This could include plumbing, tiling, plastering and/or painting.

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience within a construction, building or maintenance background covering carpentry and UPVC window/door installation
  • Proficiency in multipoint locks and window mechanisms
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Some experience of other trades i.e. plumbing, tiling, plastering or painting, would be desirable
  • A company van and power tools will be provided for business use only, therefore a full, current driving licence is essential
