Apprentice – Business and Administration

12 month fixed term contract

Fleming House, 2 Tryst Road, Cumbernauld, G67 1JW

Starting salary year 1: £8,658 per annum

37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

In partnership with our diverse and vastly experienced training provider – Genius People - we are offering a 1 year Apprenticeship in Business and Administration. You will be provided with first rate training leading to an SVQ / QCF Level 2 nationally recognised qualification, while at the same time supporting the Housing team to gain an insight into the systems and processes we use.

The Housing team provides a comprehensive housing management service including rent collection, pursuing arrears, anti-social behaviour, allocations and estate management.  

The role of Apprentice will include:

  • Learning vital office skills such as planning, organising, filing, processing and managing correspondence
  • Providing administration support
  • Dealing with and resolving queries both by email, face to face and over the phone
  • Job shadowing

Skills and experiences:

  • A minimum of 2 National 4’s or 5’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Basic knowledge of MS packages (including Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Great communication skills
  • Commitment, determination and enthusiasm
  • Flexible and adaptable team player
