Waking Nights Care and Support Assistant


Middleton House, Cheltenham


£8.59 to £8.85 per hour (dependent on qualifications)


38 hours per week



We are seeking a Care and Support Assistant to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Middleton House provides high quality apartments designed to support independent living. The role of Care and Support Assistant will include:

  • Delivering a high level of person-centred care and support for our clients
  • Creating a positive culture, supporting clients to live as independently as possible and prevent social isolation
  • Lone working
  • Supporting the physical and emotional well-being of clients
  • Engaging with clients
  • Administering medication
  • Sensitive delivery of personal care
  • Supporting clients with arranging and attending appointments
  • Moving and handling
  • Assisting clients with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable
  • Punctual, with excellent timekeeping skills
  • Patient, calm and respectful with a caring disposition
  • Ability to lone work
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
