Bank General Assistant – Catering – Part Time

 

Middleton House, Cheltenham

 

£9.18 to £9.47 per hour (dependent on qualifications)

 

Hours as and when required

 

 

Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Bank General Assistant to assist with meal preparation, whilst adhering to Health and Safety Guidelines. In addition to this, you will also assist with maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout Middleton House.

 

Located in the desirable area of Leckhampton in Cheltenham, Middleton House provides apartments and communal  facilities for over 55s.

The role of Bank General Assistant - Catering will include:

  • Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards and ensuring the needs of our residents are met
  • Working with residents, families, advocates and staff to ensure a high standard of services
  • Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas and residents’ flats
  • Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/cleaning environment
  • NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality and Catering, QCF, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the work place
