Project  Worker – Bank

Nickleby Road, Chelmsford

£9.44 per hour (rising to £9.94 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

We are seeking a Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Nickleby Road and Berwick Avenue provide support for adults with learning disabilities, through short-term accommodation and support to help build independent living skills. One of the key roles of the Project Worker is helping with tenancy sustainment, employment and budgeting. The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Ensuring relevant support is provided to enable our clients to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Regular key working and support planning to develop a high quality, person centred service
  • Assessing clients’ needs and writing or updating support plans
  • Developing professional working relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies, acting as an advocate when required
  • Actively encouraging choice and involvement with day to day life skills such as social interaction within the community

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management, is essential
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and source innovative solutions for complex circumstances
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills allowing you to build strong working relationships
  • An understanding of occupancy agreements is desirable
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
  • A full, current driving licence is desirable
