Project Worker – Part Time

 

Whitstable Road, Canterbury

 

£9.66 per hour (rising to £10.17 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

30 hours and 32 hours per week available

 

 

We have a great opportunity for a Project Worker with passion and drive to provide support for our tenants at Whitstable Road. East Kent Young People Supported Housing has schemes across Canterbury, Swale and Thanet. We provide accommodation and support for young people aged 16 to 25, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including children in care and care leavers. The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Assessing tenants’ needs, writing and updating support plans
  • Regular key working and support planning to ensure relevant support is provided
  • Enabling our tenants to maximise their own potential and level of independence
  • Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the tenants, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar
