Cleaning Technician


Addenbrookes, Cambridge


£18,723 per annum inclusive of policy allowance (rising to £19,708 per annum inclusive of policy allowance after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)


40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a Cleaning Technician to join our well established Estate Services team in Cambridge. You will be working as part of a team with an aim to provide a high quality cleaning service. Working from Addenbrookes campus, you’ll provide cleaning services in areas such as doctor quarters, patient/relative rooms and student nurse accommodations; you will also be cleaning communal bathrooms and kitchen areas, communal stairways and landings.


The role of Cleaning Technician will include:

  • Cleaning staff, student and patient accommodation to a high standard
  • General cleaning of communal areas and supporting housekeeping
  • Identifying potential faults and ensuring they are reported and monitored
  • Completing accurate progress records and filing them accordingly
  • Maintaining an appropriate supply of tools and equipment and ensuring they are kept in a suitable condition
  • Providing a professional, courteous and customer friendly approach to all working tasks


Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • A general awareness of Health and Safety is desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude to working tasks with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with fast changing requirements

  • Role Salary is £17,077 with an additional policy allowance of £1,646 per annum (rising to £17,976 with an additional policy allowance of £1,732 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
